ABOUT THE BAND

Best known as a local Chicago neo-soul math rock band, Violet Meridian and their sound have developed and grown in popularity since 2020. Influenced by artists like Yvette Young, Bent Knee, Hiatus Kaiyote, Jaala they weave together odd time signatures, sultry and soulful vocals, and intense / dramatic musical builds. Members are Griffin Mang on bass, Sam Atkins on Drums and Nicole Kelly on vocals and guitar.
